Product Overview

*PLEASE NOTE*  Pi-MMS is in high demand so there may be some delays in processing and dispatching orders.  More units are currently zooming their way through production and will be available again in January.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.

PLEASE NOTE - You will need to supply your own Raspberry Pi Zero 2 without headers which will need to be soldered to the PCB included with the cartridge.

This is the Pi-MMS expansion cartridge for your Multisystem.

Pi-MMS is an easy way to add a Raspberry Pi to your MMS, slot it into the cartridge slot on the front of the MMS and you’re good to go. No additional power supplies or cables are required.

What can you do with Pi-MMS?

Popular use cases include the MT32-Pi project so you can enjoy Roland MT-32 music on systems that support it, such as the AO486 core. Enjoy Monkey Island as it was intended!

We use the Pi-MMS at The Cave to power the BarcodeRattler system which launches games on MiSTer via a barcode scanner.

But, what we’re most excited about is seeing what projects you come up with! The Pi’s Mini HDMI and USB ports are accessible on this cartridge, as is the SD card slot.

What you will receive

  • Pi-MMS PCB
  • 3D printed cartrdige case in red
  • 2 x 3D printed buttons

We recommend the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 without headers (NOT included) to use with with the Pi-MMS. The board is compatible with other Pi products but the case is designed around the Pi Zero range. You will need to solder your Pi Zero to the Pi-MMS PCB to use the Pi-MMS.

Also available is a replacment dust cover that can be added as an optional extra (you can find details here).  This is shorter on the top edge to allow the cartridge to fit.  See images for an example.  If you add the dust cover as an optional extra here you do not need to order one from the other listing.

Multisystem is not included and is shown to demonstrate the cartridge in place.

Found this was for sale on a Saturday night & had it in my hands on the Tuesday, very fast delivery. Once I screwed the board and the case together I found it is held tightly and everything is correctly aligned. Together with the shortened dust cover fits snugly into expansion slot of the multisystem. I now have to source a Pi to attach to the board & test my currently non-existent soldering skills
